Site Update 2025
I made some slight adjustments to the website recently, I am separating articles from news. There is a new “news” section at the top. News will be mostly reserved for updates, new preset packs, and other announcements. Articles on the other hand will be things like studio blogs, my thoughts on the creative process, sound design concepts, and general points of interest in regards to sound design. I already have reviews separated, so I thought it would be a bit more organized if I kept plugin updates in their own category.
I’m curious how informative these updates are? I think it is important for me to update my reviews when new features get added to a plugin, but I’ll likely only cover these updates if they add significant sound design features.
I’d be curious to learn if anyone learns about any plugin updates from my site.
I plan to write more articles covering my thoughts on different general topics, I’d like to take these in more focussed directions as well covering concepts like delay, FM, distortion and more.
I’d also like to address my previous use of AI artwork, I’d like to replace this with original artwork soon. I swore off of using anything AI starting 2024. None of my sound design, reviews, tutorials anything written or heard were made with AI. I personally feel that using this crutch for my thumbnails and covers undermines my integrity as a writer, musician, and sound designer. Many of the old youtube streams will likely remain as they are, but I want to replace box art and any articles here with my own personal artwork. I hope you understand that this will likely take me some time as my priorities are with sound design and writing.
I have a few new packs on the way soon and plan to have some more reviews out as well. I’ve slowed down on the reviews, no longer posting one a week. I want to get back to regular content soon so there is always something new to read or learn about.
I have a third Infiltrator pack on the way, this will be my last pack in the current format.
Packs after this point will be smaller and priced a bit higher to align with industry standards.
My quality of work has increased over the years and I would prefer to offer higher quality rather than quantity.
Packs will be focussed on individual patch types rather than collections of random use cases. Examples include basses/leads, keys/plucks, percussion/sfx, sequences/arpeggiators.
I have a distortion pack for Triad on the way under this new format, and am working on a Pack for Battalion as well.
I plan to have paid testers involved in this process to ensure quality and create demo tracks alongside my own.
Thank you
